Unit 7 Protect the Earth

一、单元教材分析

教材分析:

本单元的话题是保护地球,看似很大的话题,但是教材中将这一话题分成四个方面:节约水、节约能源、爱护树木、不要用太多的塑料用品这四个小段加以阐述,让主题在具体的实例中得以让学生有话可说。四个小文本用相对整齐的句式We use…to…,We should…,We shouldn’t…通过学习,学生在理解的基础上应背诵这四段文本,在背诵的基础上进行内化。在Grammar time中,对Story time 中进行操练和强化,对句子结构了解得更清晰。在Fun time中,让学生联系实际如何回收纸、塑料包、塑料瓶,运用的句式是I can reuse …to….而在Cartoon time中,仍然围绕保护地球的主题,跟着Bobby一起做保护地球的大海报。个人觉得本单元的Cartoon time无需按照以前的模式,不断对文本进行解剖和解读,这个故事应该让学生自读故事,读懂后,在小组内运用句型同样商讨做一份海报。在Culture time中,让学生知晓世界地球日,世界环境日,激发学生热爱地球,保护环境的意识。而在所有板块学完后,学生要能结合之前学的知识和句型,结合自我感受写一小短文:Protect the Earth.Sound time 中,让学生通过模仿感知体会字母组合oo在单词中的发音。

学情分析:

本单元的话题是保护地球。新教材在编写的过程中体现了话题的整体性和递进性。U5谈论的是公共标志,传递信息是在公共场所要遵守公共秩序---生活中处处可见,从小事做起。U6谈论的是让我们的城市更整洁干净,这是在u5基础上扩大了范围,高度也提高了。而到这个单元,视野就更广了,保护地球,并不是大而空的话题,做好的前两单元所说的,我们也是在保护地球。但是作为国家的接班人,我们的视野还要扩大,思维角度还要更深刻,所以谈论是有意义的,教师一定要挖掘这深层意义,让学生不断体会,不断增强这种意识。所以在Fun time, Cartoon time ,Culture time板块中,都围绕了这个话题,通过不同的活动让学生学习语言,感知文化,增强责任。在Culture time中,还可以让学生寻找其他有关于环境保护的节日:如世界水日,无烟日等等,互相交流。最终,让学生以写的方式,通过写Protect the Earth这个话题,写下自己的已知和感受,相信通过前几个板块的学习和各方面知识的积累以及对这一话题的自我理解,学生一定能写出比较深刻的文章。

1.  情态动词的用法

情态动词should后面应该用动词原形,否定式就在情态动词后面加not

(注意should not = shouldn’t

We should not waste water and energy.我们不应该浪费水和能源。

We shouldn’t cut down too many trees.我们不应该砍倒太多的树。

例题解析:

解析:在很多地方,没有很多水。因此我们不应该浪费水。应选 B

Step1  Warm up

1.play games: 头脑风暴.

S1We use water to water trees.

S2: We use water to clean the desks.

S3: We use water to wash the dishes.

S4: We use water to brush our teeth.

S5: We use water wash the clothes.

S6: We use water to water flowers.

[设计意图]这个头脑风暴环节不仅可以复习story time中的内容,同时也为下面的语法教学做好充分的准备。

2.发散思维,组合游戏

S1: We use plastic to ….

S2: We use wood to ….

G1: person: they, he, we, my father …

G2: things: chopsticks paper, crayon, pen, computer…

G3: action: draw write, make a box, play games , drink…

让学生自由选择组合,用Use ..to…造句。

[设计意图]这是一个发散思维的游戏,学生在这个游戏的过程中通过自由组合让学生的思维得到了锻炼,增加了这个游戏的趣味性,同时也在游戏的过程中渗透了use … to …这个语法。

3.朗读句子,掌握句子结构。

Step2  Presentation

 1. 出示以下教材图片,复习句型

What should I/she/he /we/they do?

You/He/She/We should….

You shouldn’t ….

2. 出示图片,让学生正确地选择句型进行口令的表达。

    You shouldn’t eat in class.

    You shouldn’t talk in the library.

    You shouldn’t shout in the hospital.…

    [设计意图]新教材的语法环节提倡通过书上的文本知识来教学语法,而不是为了教语法而出示语法。

3. Look and write.

 

  

 

 

(1)指导学生看图并完成。

(2)朗读句子。

(3)制成标语粘贴。

[设计意图]第三步“制成标语粘贴”这个环节比较新颖,体现了学以致用的原则,同时也与第五单元Signs的内容遥相呼应。

4.think and write

[设计意图]这是语言实践的板块,旨在检测学生以保护地球为主题进行书面的表达。新教材非常注重对学生“写”的能力的培养,所以每单元的checkout time环节都要求把口头的东西真正落实到笔头上。

Step2.: Presentation

1. Sound time

1Talk and lead-in Bobby and Sam also learn English at school. This is an English lesson.

T: What are they doing now?

Ss: They are reading books.

T: What are they reading? Let’s have a look.

(Show the sentence.)

2)Try to read the sentences;

D读出句子中用红色标注的单词,并体会单词的发音。

3)Explain :字母oo is pronounced as ---[u:]

4)Try to say some other words about “oo”

5)Read the words together ,then make some new sentences with the words.

[设计意图]在句中在语段中积累oo 发音规则,学生更容易接受,更便于加强积累。

2Cartoon time

[设计意图] 由于学生对日期表达法还没系统地掌握,此处的停留时间要长点。

Step3: Extension

Enjoy and judge: some other pictures about Environment.

Sum up: The Earth is our home. We should project it.

[设计意图]此处火候已到,更容易激发学生的环保意识。

Step 4: Homework

1. Read the dialogue with expression and try to recite it.

(有感情地朗读卡通对话,并试着背它。)

2 Do a survey about projecting the environment, then fill in the form.(做一项有关保护环境的调查,然后完成表格。)

播放录音,要求学生跟读单词和歌谣,模仿语音语调。
